You know, this used to be a hell of a good country.
I can't understand it.
Of course, don't ever tell anybody that they're
not free, because then they're going to get
real busy killing and maiming to prove
to you that they are.
Oh yeah, they're going to talk to you and talk to
you and talk to you about individual
freedom.
But they see a free individual and it's
going to scare them.
And no, I don't make them run in fear.
No, she likes it dangerous.
Peace and tranquility is something so
many would kill for.
Everybody's trying real hard, but
it seems so simple to me.
You get a wife, you get a car, and you're halfway there,
but it's still pretty far.
You have a kid, you get a house,
you call it home
Now livin' alone ain't no fun
Women beatin', beer drinkin',
startin' men's life ain't for me
So give me a woman who is
proud and who is able
To keep me satisfied in bed
and at the kitchen table
Lord knows I've got such an appetite
You get a wife, you get a car
Now you're halfway there but
it's still pretty far
You have a kid, you get a house,
you call it home
Home, home
