I love You, Lord,
and I lift my voice to worship
You know a little earlier tonight
a friend of mine was talking to me
about the importance of blood.
See, the Bible says this,
it says that without the shedding of blood,
there is no remission for sins.
And that is the whole, that is,
this is the crux
of this entire evening.
Forget the CD,
forget the road trip up here
from wherever you came from,
forget seeing a band,
forget seeing lights,
forget all the sound,
forget the instruments,
and forget everything else
that's going on,
and realize this, that there was a God
who at some point in history
a few thousand years ago
came down to this earth,
stretched out his arms,
and died for you. Yeah.
And the funny thing is that there's
absolutely nothing
that you could have done to stop
it. You know why?
Because God and his son above were sitting there,
in heaven, and they thought, you know what,
this place is not quite complete
until we get old so -and -so up here
and the only way that that can happen
is if Jesus died so what I
want you to do is
I want you to think about your personal
Jesus
the one who saw your face
I want you to sing this with me
What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
and what can make me
All right, I want you to sing this time.
All right, you're going to sing it.
Here we go.
Said, what can wash away my sin?
Say it.
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
And what can make me
whole again? it.
Nothing but the blood of
It was nothing but the blood.
There's no precious thing
that can make me white as snow
There's no brother found I know
There is nothing but the blood of Jesus
I say nothing but the blood,
but the blood of Jesus
Can wash away my sin, Jesus,
the blood of Jesus
Father, we thank you for your blood
We thank you for your death on the cross
And for that reason that we
have eternal life
We are so very thankful
Let's sing this one more time,
just voices. I love you, Lord,
and I lift my voice to worship you,
O my soul.
Oh, rejoice, say, Joy, my king,
in what you hear.
Make me a sweet,
sweet sound in your ears.
I'm sure that many of you
can identify with.
You may know what it's like to be running
500 miles an hour
every single day,
school and work and relationships
and family and church
and all these things going
500 miles an hour,
but this is what God says.
God says, come to me
all of you who are weary
and who are heavy laden.
Come to me and I'll give
you rest.
That's what this song is about.
My soul finds rest in you alone.
