is made out of a cast

with a plastic head that is tunable
and unaffected by the

unlike the fish skin.
Next I want to introduce you

to the mazhar and the dof.

The mazhar is an enormous tambourine
with a donkey skin.

The dof is also a mazhar

but without any cymbals.
Now we have the raq.
The raq is a small tambourine

with a fish skin

and specially well -tuned cymbals.

It used to be the percussion
instrument

in Egyptian Taqt.

Now we have the Dahalla.
The Dahalla is the bass tabla.

It has a goat skin
and is about two and a half times
the size of a normal tabla.
Last we have the Sagat.

The Sagat are hand cymbals

made out of copper nickel alloy,

four in a set, two to each hand.

The larger size of Sagats
are called Tora.
